Why a fancy yellow diamond?  For one thing, my wife’s favorite color is yellow.  She loves to wear clothes of that color.  In fact, she has this lovely yellow dress that she absolutely looks dynamite in.  I personally think that her new ring with the new stone would go very well with that yellow dress.  I am hoping – or rather I know – that she will get a huge kick out of wearing a ring with a diamond that has her favorite color.

With the help of my girlfriend’s best friend, I think she will easily say yes to this ring.

“Do not worry about it.  Glad you could make it.

“So you are ready huh?”

“That I am!”

“Are you sure?”

“What do you mean, am I sure?”

“As your best friend and potential best man, I have to ask that kind of question just to make sure that you are absolutely sure.”

“I am very sure that I want to spend the rest of my life with her.  So I am going to ask her to marry merry me.”

“Good for you, man!”

“Thanks!”

“So what are we looking for?  Obviously a ring but any idea on what kind?”

“I have some ideas.  It will not just be a plain old gemstone engagement ring.”

“What then?”

“I am looking to get her a yellow diamond engagement ring.”

“Nice man.  Yellow is her favorite color is it not?”

“Yup.  That is why I am getting an engagement ring with that color stone on it.”

“Good move man.  She will definitely love that.”

“Yeah.  It is going to be a radiant cut stone with two smaller diamonds to the side of it.  Maybe princess cuts.  The ring is going to be platinum.”

“You really are going all out for this.”

“Absolutely!”

I gestured towards the bottle of red wine.  “Want more wine love?”

She smiled coquettishly and simply shook her head.  I nodded.

“I cannot believe you made dinner.”  She smirked.  It was that smirk that made me fall in love with her all those years ago.

I heard the emphasis on the “you” and laughed.  “As you know I am full of surprises.”  I pointed at both the necklace and earrings.  “Do you like the sapphire jewelry set I got you?”

She did not say anything, she just looked at me for a moment until she lowly got out of her chair and walked toward me.  I turned to face her.  She leaned down and passionately kissed me.  After what felt like a long time she removed her lips from mine.  She smirked again and tilted her head upstairs.  That was where our bedroom was.  I smiled.
